
Mamdouh Elssbiay, known as **“Big Ramy,”** was born on September 16, 1984, in Kafr El Sheikh, Egypt. Before becoming a bodybuilder, he worked as a fisherman and later moved to Kuwait, where he began serious training and developed his physique. He started focusing on bodybuilding around 2009 and quickly improved, earning his IFBB Pro card after winning the overall title at the Amateur Olympia in Kuwait in 2012. In 2013, he made his professional debut at the New York Pro competition and won the event, gaining immediate attention in the bodybuilding world. Over the following years, he competed regularly at major contests and became known for his exceptional size and muscular development. Elssbiay reached the peak of his career when he won the Mr. Olympia title in 2020 and successfully defended it in 2021. These victories made him one of the most successful bodybuilders of his generation and the first Egyptian athlete to win this prestigious competition.
